Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was a student at her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She was a harpsichord scholar and the flute for three complete years. Her budget was supplemented by a student's stipend and she was employed part-time in order to meet her financial obligations. Lennox, while studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was unhappy about her performances compared to that of her classmates. She started to think about alternatives. Lennox played flute with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. She left the band prior to the group's appearance on I.T.V.s talent show New Faces. She was the lead member in The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to 1980. It was during this time that she became acquainted with Dave Stewart with whom she will form The pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox began to work on her solo debut album Diva in 1992. In both commercially and critically, it was an enormous achievement. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo release was released in the month of November. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul jazz tunes of her childhood. Lepidoptera is a collection of four improvisations for piano, was released by Lennox in May of 2019. The E.P. It is also a companion to her Now I let it go... artwork that was exhibited at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. This album is her first that was released on her own.
